KVASU Research Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) is recruiting Research Assistants for a collaborative project run through the Department of Animal Nutrition at its College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode. The project studies climate-smart approaches to reduce heat stress and protect the productivity and welfare of dairy cattle and buffaloes.

This is a temporary project engagement on a daily-wage basis. Although the recruiting department is in Pookode, the notice gives the university and project authorities the decision on where you will work.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: Your engagement can last up to 24 months from joining, depending on the availability of project funds. Funding therefore remains a condition of the appointment throughout its stated term.
• Workplace: You may be placed at any KVASU research station or college chosen by the university or project authorities. The notice does not guarantee a posting at Pookode.
• Regular employment: Taking up this assignment does not give you a right to a regular university appointment. The temporary project arrangement remains separate from regular recruitment.
• Leaving the assignment: You may leave voluntarily by giving one month's notice.
• Conduct: Failure to follow discipline or carry out assigned duties can lead to termination of the engagement.
• Truthful information: Hiding facts, giving false information or canvassing can lead to disqualification or termination, including after you have joined.
• Interview expenses: The university will not pay travel or daily allowance for your interview visit.
