Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is engaging a Senior Project Associate for the Dynamic Research Ecosystem in Advanced Materials (DREAMS) consortium in Rupnagar, Punjab. Supported by the ANRF PAIR project, DREAMS brings IIT Ropar together with partner institutions to build shared materials-research capacity. This contractual role supports the consortium’s operations, communications and financial administration.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Consortium setting: IIT Ropar acts as the hub for seven partner institutions described as SPOKE institutions. DREAMS is intended to develop a collaborative and mentoring network that can grow beyond those initial partners.
• Research context: The consortium covers functional and structural materials, with applications in energy, structural design, microelectronics and advanced manufacturing. Its wider programme connects education, research and capacity building across participating institutions.
• Initial appointment: You start with a three-month appointment. Further extensions may be offered yearly based on performance, so the full project duration is not a guaranteed personal appointment term.
• Project link: The project lasts four years and the post ends with it. Your engagement therefore remains tied to the project even if performance-based extensions are approved.
• Applicable rules: The recruitment follows DST-SERB and IIT Ropar guidelines. These rules govern the project appointment at the institute in Rupnagar, Punjab.
• Travel: No travel or daily allowance is paid for attending the interview. Keep this condition in mind when making any attendance arrangements requested by the institute.
