AIIMS BBSR Project Technical Support III Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS BBSR) is hiring a Project Technical Support-III for its Department of Transfusion Medicine. The contractual assignment supports an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) project led by Professor Dr. Somnath Mukherjee. The study examines clinically important blood group antigens and the risk of alloimmunization among people with sickle cell disease as part of a multicentric study in India.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The appointment starts with an eleven-month contract. An extension depends on funding, the project's needs, your performance and approval from the competent authority.
• Nature of appointment: This project contract gives you no right to a regular post at AIIMS, the funding agency or another government department. It also gives no automatic right to another assignment or transfer to a different project.
• Contract benefits: Provident fund, pension, leave travel concession and medical claims are not available under this appointment. You must accept these conditions through an undertaking when you join. Leave follows the funding agency's or institute's policy for contract staff.
• Ending the contract: Either side may give one month's notice. The institute may end the contract earlier by paying an amount equal to one month's contractual pay. You cannot replace your own notice period with a payment and must serve the full notice period.
• Recruitment decisions: AIIMS may change or cancel the recruitment process. Meeting the minimum conditions alone does not guarantee selection, and the Director's decision is final.
• Accuracy of information: False information can lead to disqualification at any stage. Discrepancies found before joining can prevent your appointment, with the position then offered to a waiting-list candidate. Canvassing also leads to disqualification.
