West Assam Milk Producers' Cooperative Union Ltd. (WAMUL), the cooperative behind the Purabi Dairy brand at Juripar, Panjabari in Guwahati, is hiring plant staff for its dairy operations. The notice covers two shop-floor roles: one Assistant-IV (Dairy) for a mechanical diploma holder and a larger batch of Assistant-I Dairy (Operator) posts for ITI-trained technicians. Both are contract jobs for an initial period of two years, and the posting is at a dairy plant within WAMUL's area of operations in Assam.

Posts and Disciplines

• Assistant-IV (Dairy): a senior plant role for someone with a full-time three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience running and maintaining equipment in a manufacturing unit.
• Assistant-I Dairy (Operator): an operator role open to ITI pass-outs in the Electrical, Fitter or Electronics Mechanic trades from an NCVT or SCVT approved institute, with at least some full-time factory experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: you are engaged on contract for an initial period of two years; the notice does not promise regular employment.
• Place of work: a dairy plant under WAMUL's area of operations, so you may not be posted at the Guwahati head office.
• Internal candidates: if you already work at Purabi Dairy or at any unit managed by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), you must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your controlling authority.
