UOC Assistant Professor Social Science Recruitment 2026

UOC Assistant Professor Social Science Recruitment 2026: Overview

University of Calicut (UOC) is preparing a rank list for Assistant Professor on Contract in Social Science at its Teacher Education Centres. The recruitment supports the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course, with an existing opening at the Calicut University Teacher Education Centre (CUTEC), Malappuram, and provision for openings that arise later.

The key point for you is the rank-list arrangement: this notification creates a pool from which the university can make contract appointments as centres report their needs. It covers the current requirement and future openings under the same recruitment, rather than promising an appointment to everyone included in the list.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Use of the rank list: The university will decide on engagement from the list when an existing or newly arising vacancy needs to be filled. Your place on the list should therefore be understood in the context of vacancies reported to the university.
• Nature of appointment: This is a contract teaching engagement linked to the Social Science requirement in the Teacher Education Centres. The university will not consider appointment on deputation under this notice.
• Communication: If you are shortlisted, the university will share interview information through email or telephone and through its website. Keep the contact details you enter in your application accurate so that you can receive those updates.
• Travel arrangements: The university will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. You will need to make your own arrangements if called.
