TMC Assistant Research Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, is looking for Assistant Research Fellows for a Breast and Gynecology study run by the Department of Medical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. TMC lists this as an outsourced post, offered initially for six months. If you hold a medical, dental or AYUSH degree along with a clinical research diploma, this is a chance to work on cancer studies at one of the country's best-known cancer hospitals.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is for six months to begin with; the notice does not promise an extension.
• Clinical research diploma: The Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research (PGDCR) is marked mandatory, so a medical or dental degree alone is not enough.
• Experience edge: One year of clinical research experience is not compulsory, but candidates with experience get preference.
• Shortlisting: TMC first screens the online forms and calls only shortlisted candidates for interview; it can also decide not to call anyone.
• Internal candidates: If you already work at TMC, you need an NOC from your current HOD or Principal Investigator.
• Accommodation: No accommodation is given to outstation candidates, so plan your stay in Mumbai yourself.
• Wrong information: If any detail in your form turns out false or incomplete, your candidature can be cancelled at any stage, even after you join.

TMC accepts applications only through its online registration form; paper or email applications are not taken. The form closes at 5:30 PM IST on the last day, so do not leave it for the final evening.

Check your spam folder as well; TMC is not responsible for mails lost there or sent to a wrong address. When called, carry the original documents for your date of birth, qualifications and experience, or you will not be allowed to sit the interview.
