MAHA Metro Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA Metro), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra, is hiring experienced staff for its Nagpur and Pune Metro Rail Projects. This contract recruitment covers engineering, maintenance, administration, public relations and office-support roles for candidates with relevant metro, railway, public-sector or metro-infrastructure experience.

MAHA Metro is implementing metro projects in Nagpur, Pune and Thane and also handles operations and maintenance work for Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1. The recruitment is intended to meet immediate operational needs, so your post-qualification experience and present pay scale or monthly CTC are important. Check the conditions for your chosen post carefully because a related qualification does not replace the required work experience.

Posts and Disciplines

• Junior Engineer: civil, electrical, rolling-stock and signalling-and-telecommunication roles supporting project systems and technical assets.
• Senior Office Assistant: public relations, corporate communication, event support or library work for the Nagpur project.
• Office Assistant: document control, reception, drafting, human-resources support, accounts work and routine office coordination.
• Technician: civil, electrical, rolling-stock/diesel-mechanic and signalling-and-telecommunication/electronic-mechanic trades for hands-on maintenance. The first corrigendum broadened the accepted ITI trades for every Technician category.
• Multi Tasking Staff cum Motor Driver: office support combined with driving official light motor vehicles.
• Attendant: file movement, dispatch and other day-to-day office support for project teams.

Post-wise Duties

Junior Engineer

You will support inspections, maintenance planning, fault follow-up and technical coordination in your assigned civil, electrical, rolling-stock or signalling discipline. Your previous metro, railway or infrastructure work should help you manage project records and field issues safely.

Office and Public-Relations Staff

You will manage documents, correspondence, reception, HR or accounts support, depending on the post. The public-relations and library role also covers report writing, press material, promotional work and event coordination.

Technician and Support Staff

You will carry out trade-specific maintenance or keep essential office services moving. Technicians work with the assets covered by their accepted ITI trade, while drivers and attendants support transport, records, files and dispatch.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Appointments are contractual for three years. Selection under this notice does not guarantee promotion to a higher grade.
• Domicile: Applicants must be residents of Maharashtra and hold a domicile certificate from the competent authority.
• Bond: Selected staff must sign the service or surety bond required by MAHA Metro and serve for at least three years, excluding leave without pay or extraordinary leave.
• Experience certification: If you work through a consultant, your experience must be certified by the General Consultant's Project Director or Deputy Project Director. If you work through a contractor or sub-contractor, its Head-HR must certify the experience and the client organisation must validate it through the ED, CPM or equivalent authority.
• Posting: You may be placed wherever a MAHA Metro project operates or is likely to begin, not only at the project named beside your post.
• Medical fitness: Final engagement depends on meeting the medical standard for the post at a hospital nominated by MAHA Metro; no alternative job is promised if you fail that standard.
• Current employer: Government and PSU employees must route the application properly or produce a no-objection certificate when called.
• Travel costs: No TA or DA is paid for screening, verification, medical examination or joining.

Corrigenda and Notices

• Corrigendum dated 18 August 2026: Technician (Civil) accepts ITI in Fitter, Mason, Craftsman or Electrician; Technician (Electrical) accepts Electrician, Wireman or Electro-Mechanic; Technician (Rolling Stock/Diesel Mechanic) accepts Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Fitter; and Technician (Signal and Telecommunication/Electronic Mechanic) accepts Electro Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Electrician or RAC.
• Corrigendum dated 22 September 2026: MAHA Metro revised the experience-certificate process for staff working through consultants, contractors and sub-contractors, and extended the application deadline. All other advertisement conditions remain unchanged.
