Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is hiring Psychiatric Social Workers for its Wellness Centre in Bengaluru. This is a full-time contract appointment supporting the Institute community through its campus mental-health service. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: Your contract starts from the day you join and initially runs for one year. Annual renewal depends on satisfactory performance and approval from the Institute's competent authorities.
• Overall tenure: The maximum engagement is five years. If you have previously worked at IISc through an HR Department appointment, that earlier service counts towards this limit.
• Campus availability: You must be available on campus on working days and Saturdays for the Institute community. You must also be ready to respond to emergencies at any time, so this commitment extends beyond routine appointments.
• Accommodation: The notice provides for hostel accommodation on the Institute campus during your stay. This is a specific condition of this engagement that you can consider when planning a move to Bengaluru.
• Joining: If selected, you must be able to join immediately. Keep this requirement in mind if you currently have a notice period with another employer.
• Contract status: This appointment does not give you a claim to a permanent position or regularisation. The restriction also covers future vacancies in the same or another cadre.
• Service benefits: The contract does not carry claims to provident fund, pension, medical allowance, seniority or promotion. The notice limits the appointment to its stated consolidated-pay arrangement.
• Ending the contract: Either you or the Institute can end the engagement by giving one month's notice. This condition applies during the contract period.
• Category choice: IISc will not accept a later change from unreserved to a reserved category. It also will not accept a switch from one reserved category to another after you have chosen it.
• Recruitment changes: The advertised openings may change with actual requirements. IISc also retains the right to cancel the recruitment or reject an application under the notice's conditions.
• Travel: You bear your own costs if called to attend in person. The Institute will not reimburse travel or daily expenses for this purpose.
• Accuracy of information: IISc may check your records even after you join. False records or withheld information can lead to rejection, termination and further proceedings.
