ICAR CIRCOT Young Professional-I Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT), part of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, is recruiting Young Professional-I staff for its Mumbai office. The engagement supports the Administration and Finance and Accounts sections through temporary contractual appointments. Posts and Disciplines

• Administration: This part of the recruitment supports the institute’s administrative section. The notice separately identifies the information-technology stream as YP-I (IT).
• Finance and Accounts: The YP-I (F&A) stream belongs to the institute’s finance and accounts section. Both streams form part of the same appointment notice and use its common application format.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary engagement: These appointments are contractual and linked to the project. The institute can end the engagement earlier, and the position ends with the project where that comes first.
• Extension: The initial engagement is for one year. It may continue for two further one-year periods if the institute still needs the services and the Director finds your performance satisfactory; the overall limit is three years.
• Work base and travel: Your workplace is ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai. Project or office work may require travel elsewhere in India, so the Mumbai base does not remove that travel requirement.
• Leaving early: If you resign before your contract ends, you must give one month’s notice. Otherwise, the competent authority may withhold your consolidated pay as the notice provides.
• No permanent placement: Finishing this time-bound engagement does not provide a route to absorption or re-employment in CIRCOT or ICAR.
• Joining and travel costs: The institute expects you to join immediately or as soon as possible. It does not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview or joining.
• Conduct: Canvassing can disqualify your application. The Director’s decision governs the recruitment.
