CUH Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central University of Haryana (CUH) is hiring a Project Associate in its Department of Biotechnology at Mahendergarh. The post sits in a research project funded by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) that is building a silicate-solubilising bacteria formulation to help plants cope with stress conditions.

This is a temporary, project-linked position filled through a walk-in interview, so there is no online form or written test. If you hold a postgraduate degree in a life-science subject and have worked on silicon biology, omics or plant-microbe interaction, you will stand out — that research background is what the project lead is looking for.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The appointment is initially for one year or until the project ends, whichever comes first.
• Temporary post: The position exists only for the sanctioned project and its duration; it carries no claim to a regular job at the university.
• Termination: The fellowship can end at any time for misconduct, unsatisfactory research work, or if you are later found ineligible.
• Rules: The rules of CUH and BIRAC apply to the selected candidate.
• No travel allowance: You will not be paid TA/DA or any other allowance for attending the interview.
• Employed candidates: If you work in a government or private institution, bring a No Objection Certificate from your employer.
