BEE Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Ministry of Power, is bringing officers into technical and administrative posts through deputation in Delhi. Established under the Energy Conservation Act, the bureau promotes efficient energy use and conservation. This notice brings together Joint Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director roles across technical, non-technical, finance and human resources streams.

Posts and Disciplines

• Joint Director (Technical): A technical-stream appointment within the bureau's energy-efficiency work. The circular places this role in the non-ministerial group.
• Joint Director (Non-Technical): A ministerial-stream appointment with a separate provision for consideration of the bureau's departmental Deputy Director (Non-Technical).
• Deputy Director (Technical): A non-ministerial technical post in the same Delhi-based bureau, covered by its own circular and application proforma.
• Deputy Director (Non-Technical): A ministerial post distinct from the technical Deputy Director stream. Check the matching circular when choosing your application proforma.
• Assistant Director (Finance): The finance stream has its own post conditions and a shorter deputation ceiling than the Joint Director and Deputy Director posts.
• Assistant Director (HR): The human resources stream is covered separately from Finance, although both are Assistant Director appointments.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of appointment: The advertised route is deputation. Your parent cadre or department remains relevant to the application, which must move through the proper channel.
• Joint Director and Deputy Director tenure: The deputation period cannot exceed four years. This ceiling includes an immediately preceding ex-cadre appointment in the same or another Central Government organisation or department.
• Assistant Director tenure: Finance and HR appointments have a three-year ceiling, including the immediately preceding ex-cadre deputation covered by the circular.
• Departmental consideration: For Joint Director (Non-Technical), the specified departmental Deputy Director can be considered alongside outside applicants. If that officer is selected, the appointment is treated as a promotion.
• Separate appointment routes: The Joint Director (Non-Technical) circular excludes officers in the direct promotion line from deputation consideration. It also excludes officers appointed on deputation from consideration through promotion.
• Post classification: These positions are equivalent to Central Government Group A posts and are non-gazetted. The technical posts are non-ministerial; the non-technical, Finance and HR posts are ministerial.
