AIIMS Jodhpur Project Research Scientist Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur is recruiting a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for an extramural study in its Department of Neurosurgery. The project compares phenytoin and levetiracetam for early seizures after traumatic injury, looking at treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and CYP2C9/SV2A genetic differences. You would join a multicentre prospective randomized trial led by Dr. Jaskaran Singh Gosal, Additional Professor, through a project-based contractual engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: The notice provides for six months of recruitment. Your appointment remains tied to the project, so you should assess it as a fixed-term research opportunity.
• Continuation: Joining this study does not create a right to a permanent AIIMS Jodhpur job. It also gives you no claim to continued service in another institute project when this engagement ends.
• Staffing changes: The Research Section can change the number of positions to match its needs. The advertised staffing arrangement can therefore change at the institute's discretion.
• Travel arrangements: AIIMS will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending. You will need to make your own arrangements for reaching the institute and returning after your visit.
• Conduct: Do not try to influence the recruitment through outside contacts. The notice treats canvassing in any form as a reason for disqualification.

• Measure phenytoin and levetiracetam drug levels using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
• Analyse CYP2C9/SV2A genetic polymorphism for the study.

• Collect study data and carry out statistical analysis.
• Prepare research reports for the project team.
• Coordinate patient recruitment, drug dispensing and project work with other centres.
