Eligibility
Recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent for post codes 01-08; Mathematics, Economics or Commerce degree for ASO (Finance); Law degree for ASO (Law). Accountant posts require the degree and computer qualification combinations stated in the post-wise entries. Qualifications must be held on the date of the detailed notification.

Exam pattern
Screening Test
You will answer 150 objective questions for 150 marks in 150 minutes. The degree-standard test uses offline OMR sheets.
- Indian History: 30 marks.
- Geography: 30 marks.
- Indian Society: 30 marks.
- Current Affairs: 30 marks.
- Mental Ability: 30 marks.
Main Examination
You will take 2 objective papers, each with 150 questions for 150 marks and 150 minutes. The total is 300 marks.
- Paper I: Andhra Pradesh social and cultural history, 75 marks; Indian Constitution, 75 marks.
- Paper II: Indian and Andhra Pradesh economy, 75 marks; Science and Technology, 75 marks.
Negative marking: Each wrong answer in the screening and main examinations loses 1/3 of the marks assigned to that question.
Computer Proficiency Test
The annexed practical test gives you 60 minutes for 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 30 for SC/ST/PBD, 35 for BC and 40 for OC.
- Computer basics assessment: 20%; this part may use MCQs.
- Document preparation and typing assessment: 25%.
- Organising and inserting objects: 15%.
