UPSSSC Auditor and Assistant Accountant Recruitment 2026 - 1829 Posts

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released Advertisement No. 14-Exam/2026 for the Auditor and Assistant Accountant Main Examination under PET-2025. This recruitment covers posts in the Internal Audit and Account Examination Directorate, Directorate of Local Bodies, UP Housing and Development Board, Local Fund Audit Directorate, Forest Corporation and other state institutions. Only PET-2025 candidates with a valid scorecard can move to main exam shortlisting, and shortlisting will be done on PET-2025 normalised score.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Assistant Accountant - Internal Audit and Account Examination Directorate: 609 posts (UR 536, SC 4, ST 0, OBC 9, EWS 60)
• Assistant Accountant - Directorate of Local Bodies: 600 posts (UR 240, SC 126, ST 12, OBC 162, EWS 60)
• Assistant Accountant - UP Housing and Development Board: 156 posts (UR 63, SC 33, ST 3, OBC 42, EWS 15)
• Auditor - Local Fund Audit Directorate: 148 posts (UR 60, SC 31, ST 3, OBC 40, EWS 14)
• Other department-wise Auditor and Assistant Accountant posts: remaining posts across UP state departments, universities and government institutions.

Total notified vacancies: 1,829 posts. The notification says the final vacancy count can change as per latest reservation and department rules.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Accountant Posts

• Qualification: You need a B.Com degree from a legally established university in India, or a postgraduate diploma in Accountancy from a recognised university or institute.
• Computer Qualification: You also need an O-level diploma in computer operation from a government-recognised institute.

For Auditor Posts

• Qualification: You need B.Com or a postgraduate diploma in Accountancy, along with an O-level computer certificate.
• Preferred Qualification: Preference is given if you served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years or hold an NCC B certificate.

PET-2025 Requirement

• PET scorecard: You must have appeared in UPSSSC PET-2025 and have a scorecard issued by the Commission.
• Shortlisting: Main exam shortlisting will be based on the PET-2025 normalised score.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 1 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC and other notified categories get upper-age relaxation as per Uttar Pradesh government rules.
• Reservation Certificates: EWS, category and reservation certificates must be valid within the period mentioned in the notification.

Salary

• Most posts carry Level 5 salary: Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300.
• Some departments also list the older pay band of Rs. 5,200 to Rs. 20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2,800.
• You will get pay and allowances as per the applicable Uttar Pradesh government department rules after appointment.

Application Fee

• All listed categories have Rs. 0 application fee and Rs. 25 online process fee.
• Total fee payable: Rs. 25 for UR, OBC, SC and ST candidates.
• Dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women, disabled candidates and outstanding sportspersons pay fee as per their original category.
• Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI or SBI e-challan.

Selection Process

The selection process has PET-2025 shortlisting, the written main exam and later document checks as required by UPSSSC.

1. PET-2025 Based Shortlisting: UPSSSC will shortlist candidates for the main exam using PET-2025 normalised score.
2. Main Written Exam: The exam will have 100 objective questions for 100 marks in 2 hours.
3. Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks for that question will be deducted.
4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for qualification, category, EWS, reservation, PET and identity details when asked.

2. Open the Applicant Segment and select the live advertisement for Advt. No. 14-Exam/2026.
3. Log in using your PET-2025 registration number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.
4. Select the post or posts you want to apply for, fill the required details, and confirm your education and reservation information.
5. Pay the Rs. 25 online process fee and submit the application before 3 August 2026.
6. Download and print the submitted form. Keep it ready for document checking when UPSSSC asks for it.
