SKUAST Jammu Young Professional-II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) has released an advertisement for a temporary Young Professional-II position in the Division of Veterinary Parasitology at R.S. Pura, Jammu. The project is funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-National Agricultural Science Fund and focuses on the lower susceptibility of indigenous cattle to bovine anaplasmosis. This is a purely contractual project post up to March 2027 or until the project ends, whichever happens earlier.

This role is suitable for life science and veterinary research candidates who want hands-on project work in parasitology, molecular biology and cattle disease research. SKUAST-Jammu will shortlist applicants and call selected people for an in-person interview at Directorate of Research, SKUAST-J, Chatha, Jammu. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The project is time-bound, so this is not a regular university appointment and it does not create any claim for absorption against a regular post. The university or funding agency may withdraw the advertised post at any stage. You should apply only if you are comfortable with a temporary research project role and can join the work as per project needs.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Essential qualification: You need MVSc or MSc in Parasitology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Zoology, Botany, Life Science or any other relevant subject.
• Research area: The work is linked to bovine anaplasmosis and indigenous cattle disease susceptibility.
• Project nature: The post is temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project.

Preference

• Molecular biology tools: Experience with molecular biology tools will be preferred.
• Lab techniques: Experience in cloning, sequencing and immunoassays will help your application.
• Research experience: Prior research experience in a relevant life science or veterinary science area will be preferred.
• Current employment: If you are employed, you should provide a No Objection Certificate and experience certificate from your current employer.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years under the Young Professional category.
• Maximum age: 45 years under the Young Professional category.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation will be given as per applicable rules.

Salary

• Monthly pay: Young Professional-II will get a fixed salary of Rs. 42,000 per month.
• Allowances: No other allowances are admissible for this project post.
• Tenure: The post is available till March 2027 or till project termination, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

SKUAST-Jammu has not announced any written exam for this Young Professional-II post. Selection will be through screening and in-person interview, based on your qualification, relevant experience and project fit.

1. Application Screening: The Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates called for interview after checking qualification and experience.
2. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted applicants will be informed through email or phone.
3. Interview: The interview will be held on 19 June 2026 from 11:00 AM at Directorate of Research, SKUAST-J, Chatha, Jammu.
