Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) Visiting Counsellor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

SKUAST-Jammu has issued a notice to engage one Visiting Counsellor to provide counselling services to students under the Directorate of Students Welfare. The engagement is initially for 6 months, extendable based on requirement and satisfactory performance. SKUAST-Jammu is ICAR accredited with Grade 'A' and holds the 23rd NIRF rank among agricultural universities in India, so this is a good opportunity for psychology postgraduates looking for flexible, part-time work at a reputed institution.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Engagement Type: Purely temporary and part-time, for 2 days a week.

Salary

  • You will get an honorarium of Rs. 2,000 per visit/day, for 2 days a week (approximately Rs. 17,000 per month).
  • The engagement is initially for 6 months and may be extended based on requirement and your performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counselling services to students facing academic or personal challenges
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions twice a week
  • Maintain confidential records of student counselling sessions

  • Coordinate with the Directorate of Students Welfare on student wellbeing programs
  • Report on counselling activities as required by the university
