SKUAST-Jammu is hiring 3 Assistant Professors (Contractual) for its Division of Basic Engineering & Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FoAE), for the 1st Semester of Academic Session 2026-27. If you have an M.Tech degree in Mechanical, Civil or Computer Engineering, you can attend the walk-in interview on 13 August 2026. Your age should be between 20 and 55 years as on 1 June 2026. The consolidated pay is Rs. 35,000 per month for M.Tech holders and Rs. 45,000 per month for Ph.D holders.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) has invited applications for three temporary Assistant Professor positions on an academic arrangement basis in its Division of Basic Engineering & Sciences, FoAE. The posts cover Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering — one Assistant Professor for each discipline. Selection is through a walk-in interview — there is no written exam. Candidates with a B.Tech and M.Tech in the relevant discipline, especially those with a Ph.D or teaching experience, are encouraged to attend.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: You need a B.Tech and M.Tech degree in the relevant discipline — Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Computer Engineering, matching the post you apply for.
• Desirable Qualification: A Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in the relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
• Desirable Experience: Prior teaching experience is an advantage.

Age Limit

• You should be between 20 and 55 years old as on 1 June 2026.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 35,000 per month if you hold a Master's (M.Tech) degree.
• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 45,000 per month if you hold a Ph.D.

• All candidates: Rs. 300 (Demand Draft in favour of "Comptroller, SKUAST-Jammu")
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

You will be selected through a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Present yourself before the selection committee with your application form, Demand Draft of Rs. 300, and all original credentials.

The mode of interview is offline. The engagement is purely on a contract basis for one semester (or until the post is filled through regular recruitment), and may be extended for one more semester based on performance, funds and requirement.
