Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first engagement is for six months, or a shorter period if the university decides so. The contract is reviewed on a tenure basis.
• No regularisation: This is temporary work against specific jobs. You get no right to absorption, regularisation or other service benefits at the university.
• No allowances: You will not get DA, transport, housing, personal staff or medical reimbursement. No TA/DA is paid for joining or leaving the assignment; travel allowance is paid only for official duty outside the university, with approval.
• No upper age limit: The university has set no maximum age for these consultants, so retired officers can apply.
• Skills expected: Good communication and people skills, plus the expertise the concerned office or department recommends for the assignment.
• Termination: The university can end the contract with 15 days' written notice if the work, conduct or quality of output is not satisfactory. It can also end the engagement at once, without notice, if your conduct harms the university's functioning.
• Right to cancel: SKAU may choose not to fill a post, or change or withdraw the advertisement, without giving reasons.
