Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) has released Advertisement No. 05/2026 for contract positions in electronics at the Centre for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, Visakhapatnam. • Senior Project Engineer: B.E. or B.Tech in the same notified electronics fields with minimum 55% marks and 3 years relevant experience, or B.E./B.Tech plus M.E./M.Tech in a relevant discipline with no experience requirement.
• Final-year note: For Project Engineer positions, people who appeared in final exams between April and July of the current academic year may apply, but appointment needs the pass certificate at joining.

Project Scientific Assistant Posts

• Project Scientific Assistant (A): Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with minimum 55% marks. No experience is required.
• Project Scientific Assistant (B): Same diploma qualification with minimum 55% marks and 3 years relevant experience.
• Project Scientific Assistant (C): Same diploma qualification with minimum 55% marks and 8 years relevant experience.

Work Knowledge

• Core area: EMI/EMC test lab and facility work, including electromagnetic interference and compatibility testing.
• Useful skills: RF and microwave instrumentation, EMI/EMC calibration, EMC standards, EMP testing, and EM modelling.
• Tools: For senior roles, working knowledge of modelling tools such as CST, HFSS, or FEKO is useful.
• Citizenship: The notification says only Indian citizens will be considered.

Age Limit

• Project Engineer: Upper age limit is 28 years.
• Senior Project Engineer: Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Project Scientific Assistant (A): Upper age limit is 25 years.
• Project Scientific Assistant (B): Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Project Scientific Assistant (C): Upper age limit is 40 years.
• Age reference date: Age is counted as on the closing date of application, 15 June 2026.

Salary

• Project Engineer: Rs. 34,000 per month.
• Senior Project Engineer: Rs. 37,500 per month.
• Project Scientific Assistant (A): Rs. 23,500 per month.
• Project Scientific Assistant (B): Rs. 27,000 per month.
• Project Scientific Assistant (C): Rs. 31,500 per month.
• Accommodation: Temporary shared accommodation may be provided on payment basis, subject to SAMEER rules and availability.

Selection Process

SAMEER may conduct a written test, skill test, and interview online or offline as required for the post. The detailed schedule and updates will be posted on sameer.gov.in/recruitment.
