RRC NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC NWR) is organising Act Apprentice training in designated trades across its divisions and workshops. The notice covers the 2026-27 apprenticeship cycle, with units at Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur. This is practical trade training under the Apprentices Act, rather than a promise of regular railway employment.

Posts and Disciplines

• Electrical trades: Electrician training appears in coaching, power, traction distribution and other electrical units. Check the unit table carefully because the same trade appears under different departments.
• Mechanical trades: Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Welder, Turner or Machinist, and Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance opportunities are spread across divisional and workshop units.
• Engineering trades: Carpenter, Painter, Mason, Pipe Fitter and Blacksmith training appears in the relevant engineering or workshop sections.
• Electronics and computer trades: Electronics Mechanic and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant places appear in selected divisional departments.
• Refrigeration and air conditioning: This trade appears in selected divisional units, including the engineering track-machine sections.
• Unit choices: The notice includes the divisional offices at Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur, B.T.C. Carriage and B.T.C. LOCO at Ajmer, and the carriage workshops at Bikaner and Jodhpur.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Choose your unit carefully: You can apply for only one unit. It must offer training in your trade; the railway will not accept a later request to change your division, unit or trade after selection.
• Final submission: You cannot change the chosen unit after submitting the form. Multiple applications with different personal details or contact information can lead to rejection of all your applications.
• Accommodation: The railway will not provide hostel accommodation. You must arrange your own stay for the training period.
• Training agreement: You must enter into an apprenticeship contract before training begins. If you are a minor, your guardian must enter into that agreement with the employer.
• After training: You will be released when training finishes. Completing the apprenticeship gives you no right to absorption into railway service.
• Provisional allocation: Training places may increase or decrease according to the railway administration's needs. Disability and ex-servicemen reservations are included within the notified seats.
• Unfilled reserved places: Unfilled SC and ST places may first be exchanged between those communities. Remaining unfilled places, including OBC and EWS places, may then be filled from the unreserved category under the notice rules.
• Travel costs: No travelling, daily or conveyance allowance is payable for attending document verification.
• Accuracy matters: False information or certificates can end your candidature or training engagement, including after selection.
