Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has released the official notification for Apprentice Trainee posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the session 2026-27. A total of 407 training seats are available across 12 different ITI trades, placed at PCMC's temporary establishments in Pimpri Chinchwad. This is a 1-year training engagement only — there is no permanent employment after the training period ends. Note: Posts at serial numbers 5 to 12 are smaller cadre posts. Reservation for these posts will follow the category-wise carry-forward rules as applicable.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed the ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a government-recognised industrial training institute.
• Year of Passing: You must have passed your ITI exam in 2023, 2024, or 2025. Candidates who passed before 2023 are not eligible.
• NAPS Registration: You must be registered on the NAPS Portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) with 100% profile completion and all required documents uploaded before applying.
• Bank-Aadhaar Linking: Your Aadhaar must be linked to your bank account with DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) enabled. This is mandatory to receive your monthly stipend. Without this, your application will not be accepted.
• Prior Apprenticeship: If you have already completed an apprenticeship at PCMC or any other establishment, you are not eligible to apply again.
• Currently Employed as Apprentice: If you are currently working as an apprentice anywhere, you cannot apply for this recruitment.
• Special Note for COPA: Candidates who also have Marathi or English typing skills will be given preference for COPA posts.

Age Limit

• As per the Apprentices Act, 1961, the minimum age is 14 years. In practice, since ITI qualification is required, most eligible candidates are 18 years or above.
• No upper age limit is specified in this notification.

Stipend (Monthly)

• Selected trainees will get a monthly stipend as per the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) and MAPS (Maharashtra Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) rates.
• Stipend ranges from approximately Rs. 7,700 to Rs. 8,050 per month depending on the trade and year of training.
• No HRA, TA, or other allowances are payable — stipend only.
• Stipend is transferred directly to your bank account via DBT.
• You can also claim MAPS (Maharashtra government scheme) benefits during the apprenticeship period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is based on:

1. Online Application on NAPS Portal: Apply on www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in within the deadline. Applications via post or email will not be accepted.
2. Merit List: After the deadline, PCMC will prepare a merit list based on ITI marks and reservation category. The list will be published on www.pcmcindia.gov.in.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit hard copies of documents at the Industrial Training Department, Morwadi, Pimpri Chinchwad from 27 April 2026 to 8 May 2026 (excluding Sundays) during office hours.
4. Appointment: Candidates found eligible after document verification will receive appointment orders. You must report to duty within 8 days of receiving the appointment letter, or the appointment will be cancelled automatically.
