National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) Research Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), an Institution of National Importance in Telangana, has released a walk-in notification (Advt. No. NITW/MA/ABB/ANRF/2026) for 1 Research Associate-I post. The selected candidate will work on the ANRF project titled "Computational Modeling and Prediction of Intraocular Lens Implication Using CFD and Artificial Neural Network" for a period of 3 years. The work sits in the field of Biofluid Mechanics and Artificial Neural Network models, where you will use CFD simulation and machine learning to model how intraocular lenses behave. This is a strong opening for Ph.D. holders who want hands-on research experience at a top national institute. Please note the position is purely temporary and can be ended at any time if progress is not satisfactory.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline. If you have submitted your Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for the degree to be awarded, you can also apply.
• Allied fields: Candidates from allied disciplines relevant to the project can also apply.
• Marks (General / EWS / OBC-NCL): Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG level (where applicable).
• Marks (SC / ST / PwD): Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG level.
• Research papers: You must have at least two research papers published in Science Citation Index (SCI) journals.

Desired Skills (Preferred)

• Working knowledge and experience in Biofluid Mechanics
• Working knowledge and experience of Artificial Neural Networks
• Hands-on experience with software like ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, MATLAB and CAD

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, PwD and women candidates get age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 58,000 per month plus HRA (House Rent Allowance).
• The position runs for 3 years and is purely temporary and project-based.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test. Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

3. Interview (Online / Offline): You attend an interview on 24 July 2026. Note that no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
