National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications for 1 Project Associate-I position in the Department of Management Studies. This is a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) titled "Impact Assessment for Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) under National Logistics Policy". The position is for 3 years and you can also register for a Ph.D. at NIT Warangal while working on this project. Candidates with engineering, management, or mathematics background should apply.

Who Can Apply?

You need to meet any one of the following qualification requirements. You must have First Class in both your UG and PG degrees from a recognized university.

Option 1: B.Tech/B.E. + M.E./M.Tech

• B.Tech/B.E. in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering
• AND M.E./M.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science

Option 2: B.Tech/B.E. + MBA

• B.Tech/B.E. in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering
• AND MBA in Operations Management

Option 3: B.Sc.(Hons) + M.Sc.

• B.Sc. (Honours, 4-Year Degree) in Mathematics
• AND M.Sc. in Operations Research or Mathematics

Desirable Skills

• Hands-on experience with R programming or Python
• Good technical writing skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to travel during the project period
• Experience with simulation tools is preferred

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women, and persons with disabilities

Salary

• With NET (CSIR-UGC NET/Assistant Professorship) or GATE: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA
• Without NET/GATE: Rs. 30,000 per month + HRA
• HRA will be provided as per NIT Warangal institute rules
• On-campus hostel and mess facilities available (subject to availability)

Selection Process

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your qualifications and experience. Eligible candidates will be announced on the NIT Warangal website and also contacted via email or phone.
2. Interview (Offline): Shortlisted candidates must attend an in-person interview at NIT Warangal. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Conduct research on impact assessment of Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) under the National Logistics Policy
• Travel to MMLP hubs across India for field visits and data collection
• Handle data cleaning, preprocessing, and database management
• Perform mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and simulation work
• Develop software tools and programs using Python and R for data analysis
• Prepare research papers and reports based on findings
• Assist the Principal Investigator in project documentation and reporting to ANRF
