About This Job

Apply for NARIP's Consultant Pathologist vacancy. MBBS with 10 years' experience. Pay: Rs 4,000 per visit. Last date: 14 Sep 2026.

NARIP Consultant Pathologist Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma (NARIP) at Cheruthuruthy, Thrissur, is engaging a Consultant Pathologist under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences and the Ministry of Ayush. This is a specialist, visit-based consultancy at the institute rather than an appointment to its regular staff, making it relevant to an experienced pathology professional who can support the institute on scheduled visits.

The notice allows applications from established professionals as well as retired government employees who meet its service and qualification conditions. NARIP is looking for proven competency in Pathology, and the work is tied to the institute's requirement for senior specialist input rather than a training position. The engagement remains under the control of the institute's competent authority throughout its term.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Initial tenure: The consultancy begins for six months. It may be extended or shortened at the competent authority's discretion after considering performance and the continuing sanction from headquarters.
  • No regular claim: The contractual engagement does not create a right to continuation or a regular appointment at NARIP or CCRAS.
  • Visit-based work: The consultant may be called for up to ten visits in a month, so the arrangement is different from a fixed daily office schedule.
  • Experience calculation: For the notice's experience requirement, a PhD in the relevant subject is treated as four years of experience, while MD Pathology is treated as three years.
  • Retired employees: Pay for a retired government servant will be fixed under the Ministry of Finance expenditure rules cited in the notice rather than the standard per-visit arrangement.
  • Joining formalities: The selected professional must provide a police clearance certificate and an undertaking on non-judicial stamp paper with the joining report.
  • Institute discretion: The Director of NARIP may postpone or cancel the interview without giving a reason. Check the official CCRAS notice page for any later communication.
