About This Job

Apply for 5 Gynecologist and Anaesthetist posts at Nanded District Hospital. PG medical degree or diploma eligible. Walk-in: 15 Sep 2026.

Nanded Hospital Specialist Recruitment 2026: Overview

District Surgeon, District Hospital Nanded is engaging Gynecologists and Anaesthetists for health institutions across Nanded district under the Health Services, Latur division. A district-level committee chaired by the District Collector will oversee these Group A ad-hoc appointments. The engagement is a short contractual arrangement intended to keep specialist services running while regular officers are unavailable.

This drive is aimed at doctors who can take up specialist clinical work in district health facilities without a long joining delay. The notice also allows the committee to consider MBBS doctors if a postgraduate specialist is not available, but the specialist qualification remains the main requirement. Your exact place of work may be in a regular, tribal or difficult-area facility within the district, and local service conditions can vary with that classification.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Gynecologist: Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological care in the district health system, including assessment and support for maternal-health cases.
  • Anaesthetist: Support surgical and emergency services through pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia management and post-operative monitoring.

Post-wise Duties

Gynecologist

You will manage gynaecology and maternity cases, assess patients, plan treatment and coordinate with nursing, laboratory and surgical teams. The role may involve urgent clinical decisions in a public-health facility where dependable specialist coverage is essential.

Anaesthetist

You will carry out anaesthesia assessment and management for scheduled and emergency procedures. You will also monitor patients around surgery and work closely with surgeons and theatre staff to maintain safe clinical practice.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Tenure: Appointment lasts for eleven months or until a regular medical officer becomes available for the post, whichever happens first.
  • Temporary status: The appointment gives no right to permanence, absorption, seniority or future regular service.
  • Benefits: The engagement does not carry regular-service benefits, pension, insurance-related service benefits or an annual pay increment.
  • Attendance: Selected doctors must stay at headquarters and record attendance through the biometric system.
  • Conduct: Misconduct or improper behaviour during service can lead to immediate termination without prior notice or a further appointment.
  • Leaving the post: A doctor who wants to resign must give one month's notice or pay one month's salary in place of notice.
  • Vacancy status: The government may later fill these posts through regular recruitment, and the number available under this ad-hoc drive may decrease.
  • Service record: Doctors with unauthorised absence, pending disciplinary issues or dismissal from government service cannot be considered.
