Who Can Apply?

General Assistant Professor Posts

• Qualification: You need to meet the UGC norms for appointment as Assistant Professor in the relevant discipline.
• Subject fit: Your postgraduate subject, specialisation, NET, PhD, publications and teaching record should match the school or department you apply for.

School of Indian Legal Thought

• Qualification: You need LL.M. with UGC NET or PhD as per UGC Regulation 2018.

School of Pedagogical Sciences

• Qualification: You need MA, M.Sc or M.Com plus M.Ed with UGC NET or PhD as per UGC Regulation 2018.

Important Conditions

• Retired teachers: Retired college or university teachers can also be considered, subject to the age condition.
• Reservation posts: Candidates from outside Kerala need not apply for posts notified exclusively under community reservation quota.
• Equivalency: If your degree is from a university outside Kerala, you need an equivalency or eligibility certificate from MGU.

Age Limit

• Age is as per UGC regulations for Assistant Professor appointment.
• For retired college or university teachers, maximum age is 70 years as on 1 January 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get consolidated pay of Rs. 40,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
