The Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) is recruiting Professors and Associate Professors for its social-science research centres at Nagarabhavi, Bengaluru. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Reservation: This is a backlog drive for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories. The category distribution differs between the Professor and Associate Professor posts, so check the allocation for your chosen designation.
• Probation: Your appointment begins with a two-year probation period from the day you join. Keep this service condition in mind when considering the offer.
• Consideration for appointment: Meeting the listed academic conditions does not automatically guarantee that ISEC will consider you further. The institute retains the authority to decide whether to fill the positions.
• Incomplete applications: ISEC can reject an incomplete application, and the relevant screening bodies have the final say on such cases. The institute also makes clear that it is not responsible for postal delays or items lost in transit.

Your sealed application cover must reach The Registrar, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Nagarabhavi PO, Bengaluru 560072, either in person or by Registered Post. Mark the cover “Application for the backlog post of Professor/ Associate Professor” so the office can identify the recruitment.

Use the institute’s prescribed form and keep the supplied Academic Performance Indicator (API) Excel sheet in its original layout, without adding or deleting rows or columns. Arrange the supporting API material by year, number its pages and identify the matching spreadsheet row and column; binding the material is preferred.

The soft copy of your API score sheet may be emailed to recruitment@isec.ac.in. This email facility accompanies the physical application requirement; the notice also asks for a CD with the supporting material sent to the Registrar.
