Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) is hiring an Audit Consultant to support its internal audit work at Chikkamalligawad, Dharwad, Karnataka. The institute, established in 2016, is using a contract engagement for this assignment. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: Your contract starts with a one-year term. Renewal depends on the competent authority being satisfied with your work, so you should not treat an extension as automatic.
• Status of the post: Completing the contract gives you no right to a further term or a permanent appointment. This engagement does not create a claim to any regular position at IIT Dharwad.
• Staff facilities: The institute does not extend the housing, medical facilities or other benefits available to its regular employees to the selected consultant. Keep this distinction in mind when considering the assignment.
• Working week: You should expect to work six days a week, unless the competent authority decides on a different arrangement. The institute can also assign work outside its premises when the assignment needs it.
• Assignment changes: IIT Dharwad may move you to another position, office or department according to its needs during your service. The notice allows these changes without giving a reason.
• Institute rules: Once you join, the institute's applicable rules, regulations, ordinances, statutes and Act govern your service. The engagement also follows the Department of Expenditure norms cited in the advertisement.
• Travel costs: You will need to meet your own travel and stay expenses for attending the recruitment process. IIT Dharwad will not pay travel or daily allowances for this purpose.
• Accuracy of your application: The details you enter online become final. The institute says it will not accept changes after submission, so check each entry carefully before sending the form.
