Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released Advertisement No. 40/2026 for counselling positions. The appointment is temporary and contractual, initially for 1 year and extendable only if performance and institute requirement support it. Counsellor

• Desirable: Experience in counselling young adults living in a residential academic campus.

Junior Counsellor

• Qualification: Master's degree with at least 55% marks in Psychology (Clinical or Counselling) or Social Work (Medical and Psychiatric).
• Experience: At least 2 years of student counselling experience for academic, psychosocial, and emotional issues.
• Desirable: Work experience with young adults in a residential institute will help your application.

Age Limit

• Counsellor: Maximum age is 56 years.
• Junior Counsellor: Maximum age is 35 years.
• Reference date: Age is counted as on the closing date, 29 June 2026.

Salary

• Counsellor: Consolidated salary of Rs. 88,638 per month.
• Junior Counsellor: Consolidated salary of Rs. 55,932 per month.

Selection Process
