IISER Kolkata Paid Intern Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata is hiring a Paid Intern for an ongoing forest ecology project at its Terrestrial Ecology Laboratory in Mohanpur, West Bengal. Led by Prof. Robert John Chandran in the Department of Biological Sciences, the project studies how forest trees respond to temperature and water stress. Its goal is to help inform climate-resilient forestation in central India, with support from the Ministry of Education through STARS.
The project brings together leaf, wood and soil samples collected at several forest sites in Madhya Pradesh. Your role is connected to the laboratory analysis of this material at IISER Kolkata. The Madhya Pradesh sites explain where the samples come from; the advertised internship is based at the institute in Mohanpur.
Service Conditions and Caveats
