IIPE Director Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam is recruiting a Director to head its academic and administrative work. The institute comes under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and holds Institution of National Importance status under an Act of Parliament. This is a contractual leadership appointment at its permanent campus in Vangali, Sabbavaram, in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalli district.
IIPE's focus spans petroleum, hydrocarbons, energy, chemical engineering and related fields. The institute connects education, research and innovation with the energy sector's need for trained people and technological progress. Service Conditions and Caveats

Minimum Qualification
Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent at the preceding Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Geology or Geophysics, with an outstanding academic record throughout.
Required Skills
Leadership qualities to head an Institution of National Importance; experience guiding Ph.D. students.
