Who Can Apply?

Professor

• Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent grade in Master's degree.
• Experience: You need 10 years of experience, including 4 years as Associate Professor.
• Research: Strong ABDC/ABS-indexed publication record is needed as per the notification.

Associate Professor

• Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent grade in Master's degree.
• Experience: You need 6 years of experience, including 3 years after Ph.D. as Assistant Professor or equivalent.
• Industry route: Government, PSU, or research organisation candidates with equivalent experience can also be considered.

Assistant Professor

• Level 13A1: Ph.D. with 5 years of experience, including 3 years post-Ph.D. as Assistant Professor or equivalent.
• Level 12: Ph.D. with 3 years of experience, excluding Ph.D. experience.
• Level 11: Ph.D. with more than 1 year of post-Ph.D. experience.
• Level 10: Fresh Ph.D. candidates with less than 1 year of post-Ph.D. experience, or candidates with provisional Ph.D. award after viva, can apply.

Professor of Practice / Associate Professor of Practice

• Experience: You need at least 20 years of substantial experience in industry or government.
• Ph.D.: A Ph.D. is desirable but not mandatory if your field experience and domain knowledge are strong.
• Tenure: Initial appointment is for 2 years, renewable up to 5 years based on performance and approval.

Senior Consultant (Academics)

• Qualification: Post-Graduation or Ph.D. from a recognised university or institution.
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in industry, government, or academia.
• Preferred profile: Accomplished IIM academician, retired academic leader, or senior industry professional with academic orientation.

Age Limit

• Faculty posts: The notification does not mention a fixed age limit for regular faculty positions.
• Professor of Practice: Retirement age is 65 years.
• Senior Consultant (Academics): Age bracket is 50 to 70 years.
• Reservation policy: Government of India reservation rules apply. Relaxation in qualification, experience, or higher start may be considered for exceptionally bright candidates.

Salary

• Professor: Level 14A, Rs. 1,59,100 to Rs. 2,20,200 per month.
• Associate Professor: Level 13A2, Rs. 1,39,600 to Rs. 2,11,300 per month.
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Level 13A1, Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,04,700 per month.
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Level 12, Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400 per month.
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Level 11, Rs. 68,900 to Rs. 1,17,200 per month.
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Level 10, Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 98,200 per month.
• Professor of Practice: Pay equivalent to Professor level, Rs. 1,59,100 to Rs. 2,20,200.
• Associate Professor of Practice: Pay equivalent to Associate Professor level, Rs. 1,39,600 to Rs. 2,11,300.
• Senior Consultant (Academics): Consolidated pay up to Rs. 1,50,000 per month, with campus accommodation subject to availability or fixed HRA of Rs. 15,000.
• Faculty pay includes DA, HRA or leased accommodation, LTC, medical reimbursement, NPS, research incentives, faculty development fund, and other benefits as per IIM Bodh Gaya rules.

Selection Process

IIMBG will shortlist candidates based on academic profile, experience, publications, and institute requirements. The notification does not give a written exam pattern.
