ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) Part-time Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi has invited applications for 1 Part-time Medical Officer (PTMO) post purely on a contract basis. The post is open to Male, Female, and Transgender candidates. This is a part-time role — you only need to work a minimum of 2 hours a day for at least 3 days a week, which makes it a good fit for a doctor who wants extra income alongside private practice. Both freshers and experienced doctors can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognised university or institution.
• Registration: You must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC), a State Medical Council, or another statutory body as required to practise medicine.
• Experience (preferred): Preference may be given if you have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a Government, Autonomous, or Private hospital setup. Experience is preferred, not mandatory.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 65 years (as on 01 June 2026).
• Age can be relaxed in exceptional cases on a case-to-case basis. However, no engagement is allowed beyond 70 years under any circumstances.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 40,000 per month (all inclusive).
• This base amount can be revised by up to 5% per year after each completed year, for a maximum of 3 years.
• Payment is made only for the days you actually attend, and TDS will be deducted as per the Income Tax Act.

Selection Process

Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Email Application Screening: First send your filled application by email. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
2. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview on 24 June 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Committee Room, Directorate, IARI, New Delhi. Report by 9:00 AM for registration.
3. Document Verification: Your original documents will be checked at the time of joining.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

• Attend to medical and health-related emergencies without charging extra
• Assist in health advisory screening and awareness drives during outbreaks, epidemics, or pandemics
• Take part in internal health camps, vaccination drives, and wellness programmes organised by the Institute
• Keep proper attendance and health records for release of monthly payment
