- Option 1: About 3 years of experience on a post not below Mines Supervisor, Class III, in the subordinate service of the Commissionerate of Geology and Mining, Gujarat.
- Option 2: About 3 years of experience in mining, mineral administration, mineral legislation, or mineral exploration in Government, Government undertaking, Board, Corporation, Limited Company, or Mining Organisation.
Other Requirements
- Computer Knowledge: You must have basic computer knowledge as required under Gujarat Civil Services rules.
- Language: You should have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Age Limit
- Maximum age is 40 years.
- Age as on: 19 June 2026, the last date for receiving online applications.
- EWS / SEBC / SC / ST male candidates of Gujarat origin: 5 years relaxation, maximum up to 45 years.
- General female candidates of Gujarat origin: 5 years relaxation, maximum up to 45 years.

Salary
- Pay scale is Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 1,67,800 per month.

Selection Process
The GPSC selection process includes a preliminary test and interview. You must remain present at each stage, otherwise your candidature can be cancelled.
- Preliminary Test - General Studies: Tentatively scheduled on 26 July 2026. This part carries 100 marks and has 60 minutes duration.
- Preliminary Test - Concerned Subject: Tentatively scheduled on 04 October 2026. This part carries 200 marks and has 120 minutes duration.
- Minimum Qualifying Rule: If you score less than 15% in the preliminary test, you will not be considered for interview.
- Interview: For 4 or more posts, GPSC calls 3 times the number of posts or 20 candidates, whichever is higher, as per category-wise norms.
- Final Result: GPSC plans to publish the final result within 10 working days after the interview is completed.

- Coordinate with field teams, laboratories, district offices, and department staff
- Maintain official files, survey records, and digital data with accuracy
