Guru Nanak Eye Centre (GNEC), Delhi is hiring 12 Junior Residents (Non-PG) on an ad-hoc basis. If you have an MBBS degree and a valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration, you can attend the walk-in interview. The walk-in is on 29 May 2026 (Friday) from 12:00 Noon onwards. Guru Nanak Eye Centre (GNEC), under the Government of NCT of Delhi, has released a walk-in notice for 12 Junior Resident (Non-PG) posts on an ad-hoc and emergent basis. The appointment is for 44 days or until the post is filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier. Selection is through a walk-in interview — there is no written exam. Fresh MBBS graduates who have not completed one year of Junior Residency can attend.

Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from a recognised University or Institution. Foreign graduates must have cleared the FMG examination.
- DMC Registration: You must have a valid Delhi Medical Council registration or a DMC acknowledgment slip on or before the date of interview. You must submit a valid DMC registration certificate within 45 days of joining, otherwise your candidature is cancelled.
- Experience: You must not have completed one year of Junior Residency in any recognised Institution or Hospital, including regular and adhoc tenure.
- Candidates already working on adhoc basis in GNEC need not apply for this interview.
Age Limit
- UR: maximum 30 years as on date of interview
- OBC: maximum 33 years
- SC / ST: maximum 35 years
- EWS: maximum 30 years
- Relaxation: In case of non-availability of candidates, relaxation is allowed as per the H&FW Department circular dated 10.06.2011.
Salary
- You will get a salary in the range of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month under Pay Matrix Level-10.
- You will also get other usual allowances as admissible under the rules.
Application Fee
- All candidates: No fee. All candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is done in these steps:
- Document Verification: Report to the Low Vision Clinic at 9:30 AM for enrolment and verification of documents, done between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM only on the day of interview.
- Walk-In Interview: The interview is held from 12:00 Noon onwards in the Office of the Director (GNEC). The decision of the Selection Board is final.
- Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of character and antecedents.
How to Apply
- Fill the application form for Junior Resident (Non-PG) given in the notification, in your own handwriting in capital letters using blue or black ink.
- Reach the Low Vision Clinic, GNEC, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Marg, Delhi-110002 on 29 May 2026 between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM for document verification.
- Bring the original and one self-attested set of photocopies of: 10th and 12th marksheet and certificate, MBBS degree, internship certificate, FMGE (if applicable), DMC registration or acknowledgment slip, caste certificate (if applicable) and ID proof.
- Bring 2 passport size photographs.
- Appear for the interview from 12:00 Noon onwards.
No candidate is allowed to enter after 11:30 AM. Selected candidates must join within 7 days of the offer letter.

Responsibilities
- Handle patient care duties in the eye care and ophthalmology departments
- Assist senior doctors during eye examinations, surgeries, and rounds
- Maintain accurate patient records and case histories
- Monitor patients and report changes in their condition
- Work in shifts including emergency and night duty as needed
- Follow hospital protocols and safety guidelines
- Help with admission, discharge, and referral of patients

Minimum Qualification
MBBS degree from a recognised University/Institution with valid DMC registration (FMGE for foreign graduates)

Clinical patient care, valid Delhi Medical Council registration
