Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has released an advertisement for empanelment of coaches on requirement basis for sports activities at its campuses in Delhi. The selected panel can be used for coaching, training, sports camps, inter-collegiate tournaments, University teams, trials, officiating, technical work, fitness sessions and other sports-related duties. This is not a regular appointment; empanelment only means the University can call you when services are needed.

The notice covers different sports and training areas such as athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, judo, kabaddi, kho-kho, table tennis, tennis, tug of war, volleyball, yogasana and fitness or strength and conditioning. The University has also said that it may increase, decrease, cancel or change the number of positions based on actual requirement.

Who Can Apply?

Sports Coach

• Qualification: You should have BPES/B.P.Ed or a bachelor's degree in sports/coaching or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university or institution.
• Coaching qualification: A diploma or six-week certificate course from SAI NSNIS Patiala or an equivalent recognised institution can be considered.
• Sports achievement: Participation or medal in recognised university, AIU, All India, zonal, state or national level competitions can support your application.

Fitness Trainer / Strength and Conditioning

• Qualification: You need a fitness, strength and conditioning, coaching or equivalent qualification from a recognised university or institution.
• Experience: Relevant experience in sports training, fitness sessions, team conditioning or camp support will help during shortlisting.

Yogasana Coach

• Qualification: You should have a recognised yoga, yogasana, sports coaching or equivalent qualification as suitable for University sports activities.
• Documents: You must attach proof of education, experience, sports achievements and ID proof with the application.

Pay / Honorarium

• Rate: The notice mentions Rs. 1,400 per day for minimum 2 hours.
• Allowance: The amount is inclusive of conveyance allowance.
• Engagement: Payment depends on actual days/services assigned by the University, so a fixed monthly salary is not mentioned.

Selection Process

No TA/DA will be paid for document verification, personal interaction or interview.
