ESIC Hospital, Kakinada, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has released Advertisement No. 05/2026 to fill 17 posts — 6 Full Time Specialists on a 1-year contract and 11 Senior Residents under the 3-year Central Residency Scheme — across departments like Anaesthesia, Surgery, Pediatrics, ICU and more. Vacancy Breakdown

Category-wise, Full Time Specialist posts have UR-2, EWS-1, OBC-1, SC-1, ST-1. Senior Resident posts have UR-5, OBC-3, SC-2, EWS-1.

Who Can Apply?

For Full Time Specialist:

• Qualification: MBBS with PG Degree or equivalent/Diploma in the concerned specialty, registered with MCI/NMC or the State Medical Council.
• For Accident & Emergency: MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma in Critical Care, Anaesthesia, General Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine or Paediatrics (preference given to Critical Care postgraduates).
• Experience: 3 years after your PG Degree, OR minimum 5 years after your PG Diploma.

For Senior Resident:

• Qualification: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty, registered with MCI/NMC or the State Medical Council.
• For ICU: PG in Critical Care/Anaesthesiologist/Medicine Specialist/Pulmonary Medicine.
• Experience: At least 2 years of working experience after completing MBBS in the concerned specialty.
• Note: Candidates who have already completed 3 years as a Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme cannot reapply for this post.

Age Limit

• Full Time Specialist: Age should not exceed 69 years as on the date of interview.
• Senior Resident: Age should not exceed 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: As per Central Government rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Both Full Time Specialists and Senior Residents will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,36,754 per month.
• This is a fixed contractual salary — no separate DA, HRA or other allowances are mentioned, and no PF, pension or gratuity benefits apply to this engagement.

Selection Process

Selection happens through a walk-in interview, in these steps:

1. Document Verification: Your application and documents are scrutinized by the Hospital's committee on the day of the walk-in.
2. Screening Test (if required): If too many candidates apply, the selection committee may hold a screening test to shortlist candidates.
3. Personal Interview: Final selection is based on your performance in the interview before the Selection Board.

Results are published on esic.gov.in/recruitments, and selected candidates must join immediately after receiving the offer of engagement.
