Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office Telangana, Hyderabad has invited applications from retired engineers for engagement on contract basis. The recruitment covers 3 types of engineering posts across civil and electrical disciplines. Selection is through interview only with no written exam. Retired engineers from Central or State PWD, PSUs, and autonomous bodies who held equivalent or higher positions can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Engineer (Electrical):

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university or institution
• Experience: You must have held the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) or a higher post at the time of your retirement
• Retired from: Central/State Public Works Department, Central/State PSUs, or Central/State Autonomous Bodies

For Junior Engineer (Civil):

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institution
• Experience: You must have held the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) or a higher post at the time of your retirement
• Retired from: Central/State Public Works Department, Central/State PSUs, or Central/State Autonomous Bodies

For Junior Engineer (Electrical):

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university or institution
• Experience: You must have held the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) or a higher post at the time of your retirement
• Retired from: Central/State Public Works Department, Central/State PSUs, or Central/State Autonomous Bodies

Preference will be given to retired government engineers with experience in building construction and maintenance over those with experience in road, irrigation, mining, etc.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 64 years as on 10 April 2026 (last date for submission of application)
• No extension of contract will be granted beyond the age of 65 years

Salary

• Assistant Engineer: Rs. 45,000 per month (consolidated, for retirees from non-pensionable employment)
• Junior Engineer: Rs. 33,630 per month (consolidated, for retirees from non-pensionable employment)
• For retirees from pensionable government employment, the monthly pay is calculated by deducting your pension amount from your last drawn salary
• You are also entitled to TA/DA for official tours at rates applicable to regular AE/JE posts

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through a single stage:

1. Interview: The date and time will be communicated to shortlisted candidates separately. The interview will be held at ESI Corporation, Regional Office, 5-9-23, Hill Fort Road, Adarsh Nagar, Hyderabad-500063, Telangana.

• Retirement order from the last employer

• Last pay certificate / salary slip
• Age proof (birth certificate or 10th class marksheet)
• Identity proof (Aadhaar card)
• Recent passport-size photographs

Other Conditions

• The contract is for 1 year, extendable on yearly basis based on satisfactory performance
• The contract continues until a regular incumbent is appointed, whichever is earlier
• Selected candidates must sign an agreement as per ESIC Headquarters guidelines
• Leave: 1 day leave per month of completed service, plus government holidays. No other paid leave is admissible

• Monitor and supervise construction work at ESIC buildings and facilities in Telangana region
• Prepare estimates, tender documents, and technical specifications for civil and electrical works
• Inspect ongoing maintenance work and ensure quality standards are met
• Manage electrical installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of ESIC properties
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely completion of projects
• Prepare progress reports and maintain records of all engineering works
• Assist in procurement of construction materials and equipment
