EPI Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Engineering Projects (India) Limited (EPI), a Government of India enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has released advertisement number SRO/HRM/RECTT/001/2026-27 dated 27 April 2026 for engagement of one Graduate Apprentice at its Southern Regional Office, Chennai or any of its controlled project sites in South India. This is a one-year apprenticeship opportunity for fresh engineering graduates to gain on-the-job training in a Mini Ratna PSU. There is no written exam — selection is based on merit from your engineering degree marks.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must have a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 55% marks from a reputed institute or university approved by AICTE.
  • Apprentice Status: You should not have completed apprenticeship training earlier under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • Registration: You must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at portal.mhrdnats.gov.in before applying.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 30 years (as on the last date of application)
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

Stipend

  • Selected candidates will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month (fixed) during the entire training period.
  • No other allowances, accommodation, transport, or medical benefits will be provided.
  • The training duration is one year as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit alone:

  1. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in your qualifying BE/B.Tech degree.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
  3. Engagement: Final candidates will be engaged as Graduate Apprentices for one year.

No written test or personal interview will be conducted.

  2. Download the application form and advertisement from epi.gov.in.
  3. Fill in the application form along with self-attested copies of your degree, mark sheets, date of birth proof, category certificate (if applicable), and NATS enrollment proof.

  5. Make sure your application reaches before 17 May 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in project management, design, and execution at the Southern Regional Office and project sites
  • Learn on-the-job in your engineering discipline (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) under the Apprentices Act
  • Support documentation, drawings, and technical reports for ongoing projects
  • Help with site inspections, quality checks, and progress monitoring
  • Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and contractors as guided by the supervising engineer
  • Maintain training records and submit periodic reports to the Apprenticeship Coordinator
  • Follow safety guidelines and project standards at all assigned work sites

BE/B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 55% marks from an AICTE-approved institute

Required Skills

Basic engineering knowledge in respective discipline; familiarity with industry standards; willingness to learn on-the-job
