Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI), a group of autonomous institutions under the Government of NCT of Delhi, has released a walk-in interview notice (Advertisement No. RECTT./06/2026) for 34 Senior Resident posts across 11 specialities. The appointment is purely ad-hoc for 44 days, extendable under the Residency Scheme. Who Can Apply?

You need an MBBS and a recognised PG qualification in the concerned speciality, plus Delhi Medical Council registration. The PG degree differs by speciality:

• Clinical Oncology / Radiotherapy: MBBS + PG (MD/DNB) in the concerned field
• Onco-Anaesthesia, Intensive & Critical Care: MBBS + PG (MD/DNB/DA) in the concerned field
• Nuclear Medicine: MBBS + PG (MD/DNB/Diploma) in Nuclear Medicine
• Onco-Pathology, Lab Medicine, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine: MBBS + PG (MD/DNB) in the concerned field
• Onco-Imaging / Radiodiagnosis: MBBS + PG (MD/DNB/DMRD) in the concerned field
• Surgical Oncology (ENT): MBBS + PG (MS/MD/DNB) in ENT
• Preventive Oncology & Onco-Epidemiology: MBBS + PG (MD/DNB) in Preventive & Social Medicine

• Registration: You must have a valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration, or have applied for DMC on or before the interview date.
• Candidates with 3 years of professional experience in the speciality but who have not passed MS/MD/DNB may also apply. Relaxation in experience criteria may be considered for those who have completed 3 years of SR tenure.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: Age and experience can be relaxed at the discretion of the Selection Board / Governing Council for suitable candidates, and for reserved categories as per government rules.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 67,700 per month under Pay Matrix Level 11 of the 7th CPC.
• You will also get House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other allowances as per government rules.

Application Fee

• There is no application fee for this walk-in interview.

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following steps:

1. Walk-in Personal Interview: Report to the Director's Office at DSCI (East) on 29 May 2026 between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM with your resume and original certificates.
2. Written Exam (if needed): If more than five candidates appear for any speciality, a written exam may be held along with the interview at a later date.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates are checked for scrutiny at the venue.
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must submit a fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner within 7 days of joining.

• Supervise patient care in your unit with help from Junior Residents
• Attend to emergency cases and respond when called by Junior Residents on duty
• Consult the physician or surgeon in-charge when needed
• Wear a white coat with name badge while on duty
• Take part in compulsory training on bio-medical waste management and basic life support
• Follow institute rules, including for posting at any DSCI setup in or outside Delhi
• Maintain proper records and assist in patient management for cancer care
