The internship will run for 6 months starting tentatively from 1 July 2026 at TBRL, Range Ramgarh, Panchkula, Haryana. Who Can Apply?

For UG Engineering Interns

• Qualification: You must be pursuing a four-year B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) course in the listed discipline and currently in the 3rd or final year (6th semester onwards) during the academic year 2026-2027.
• Marks: You need 75% or above (CGPA converted to percentage) from an AICTE/UGC approved college or university.
• Backlogs: Students with backlogs are not eligible.

For PG Science Interns

• Qualification: You must be a second-year M.Sc Chemistry student in the academic year 2026-2027.
• Marks: You need 75% or above from a UGC approved university.

Other Conditions

• You must be an Indian citizen.
• The internship must be a part of your degree course.
• Your Principal/HOD/TPO must send a request letter recommending you, in the prescribed format.

Age Limit

• Your age must be less than 28 years as on 30 June 2026.

Stipend

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 5,000 per month for both UG and PG interns.
• Total stipend for the full 6-month internship: Rs. 30,000.
• Payment in two instalments: Rs. 15,000 after 3 months and Rs. 15,000 after 6 months.
• You must have minimum 15 days attendance per month for the stipend.
• The stipend will be transferred directly to your bank account. No accommodation or transport will be provided.

Application Fee

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection is based purely on merit. Stages are:

1. Shortlisting on Academic Merit: Based on your cumulative percentage or CGPA up to the last completed semester or year.
2. Online or Telephonic Interview / Interaction: Conducted as required after shortlisting.
3. Document Verification: Subject to satisfactory verification of all submitted documents.

Tie-breaker: If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate (by Date of Birth) will be preferred. Only selected students will be notified by official email — no communication will be sent to unselected applicants.

5. Write on the top of the envelope: "Application for Paid Internship: Starting July 2026" and mention your Branch Code.

• Work on assigned defence research projects related to terminal ballistics at TBRL
• Assist senior scientists and engineers with experiments, data collection, and analysis
• Submit a progress report after 3 months of the internship
• Prepare and submit a final project report after completion of 6 months
• Maintain minimum 15 working days attendance per month at the laboratory
• Follow all security norms, IT rules, and discipline guidelines of DRDO and TBRL
• Sign an undertaking under the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 at the time of joining
• Maintain confidentiality of all data and information related to TBRL projects
