District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Chengalpattu Project Coordinator Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
The District Child Protection Unit, Chengalpattu has invited applications for 1 Project Coordinator post to run the District Child Helpline (1098) under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme. DCPUs work under the district administration to look after children in need of care and protection, and the Project Coordinator is the officer who runs the day-to-day operations of the Helpline unit. This is a contractual position based at the DCPU office inside the New Collectorate Complex in Chengalpattu. Candidates who have already worked with Emergency Helplines will be given preference, so if you have handled child protection, counselling, or helpline coordination work before, this role is a natural fit for you.
Because this office directly runs a round-the-clock emergency helpline for children, the Project Coordinator role involves both office-based project management and field-level coordination with the police, hospitals, and Child Welfare Committee whenever a helpline case comes in. If you enjoy hands-on social welfare work rather than a typical desk job, this is worth applying for.
