The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has released Notification No. W0526/B for walk-in interviews on 26 May 2026. There are 4 temporary contractual project positions covering Research Associate-II, ANRF-Project Associate-II, Senior Project Associate, and Project Associate-I. No written exam — selection is based on interview only. Fresh PhDs and post-graduates in life sciences, biotechnology, and allied areas can apply.

Who Can Apply?
Research Associate-II (Rs. 61,000/month)
- Qualification: PhD in Life Sciences with 2 years of experience
- Desirable: Experience in animal microsurgeries, pyramidotomy, thoracic crush model, DRG culture, and sciatic nerve crush techniques
ANRF-Project Associate-II (Rs. 42,000/month)
- Qualification: Four-year Bachelor's degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences OR Master's degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / BPharm OR B.E./B.Tech/Medicine from a recognised University
- Experience: 2 years in R&D in industrial/academic institutions or S&T organisations
- Preference: NET qualified candidates will be preferred
- Desirable: Hands-on experience in cell biology, protein biochemistry, SDS PAGE, western blot, mass spectrometry, primary neuron culture
Senior Project Associate (Rs. 42,000/month)
- Option 1: Master's degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences or MVSc OR B.E./B.Tech/Medicine with 3 years of R&D experience
- Option 2: Doctoral degree in Science/Pharma with 2 years of R&D experience
- Desirable: Hands-on experience in cell biology, protein biochemistry, SDS PAGE, western blot, mass spectrometry
Project Associate-I (Rs. 25,000/month)
- Qualification: Integrated Master's in Biotechnology
- Desirable: Experience in rodent surgeries, CRISPR cloning, and western blot techniques
Result-awaited candidates or those still pursuing the qualifying degree are not eligible.
Age Limit
- Research Associate-II: Up to 40 years
- ANRF-Project Associate-II: Up to 35 years
- Senior Project Associate: Up to 40 years
- Project Associate-I: Up to 35 years
- Reference Date: Age will be reckoned as on the date of walk-in interview (26 May 2026)
- Age Relaxation: As per CSIR / Government of India guidelines for reserved categories
Salary
- Research Associate-II: Rs. 61,000 per month + HRA as admissible
- ANRF-Project Associate-II: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA as admissible
- Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA as admissible
- Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA as admissible
- One day of leave for each completed month — no other regular leave
- No TA/DA for attending the interview or joining the position
Selection Process
Selection will be done in a single stage:
- Walk-in Interview: Held on 26 May 2026 at 09:30 AM at CSIR-CCMB, Habsiguda, Hyderabad. Candidates must register between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
- Document Verification: Bring all original certificates from matriculation (10th) onwards, experience certificates, and date of birth proof.
Based on interview performance, a panel of selected and waitlisted candidates will be prepared. The panel will be valid for one year and may be operated for future vacancies in the same project.

Responsibilities
- Carry out research activities under the assigned project and Principal Investigator
- Handle laboratory techniques like cell biology, protein biochemistry, SDS PAGE, western blot, or animal microsurgery as per the project
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, data, and project deliverables
- Follow safety protocols and biosafety guidelines while working with biological samples
- Prepare progress reports and present findings to the Principal Investigator
- Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when project work demands
- Keep intellectual property and project data confidential as per CCMB policy
- Hand over complete project records before the end of the engagement
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Integrated Master's in Biotechnology / Master's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / B.E./B.Tech / PhD in Life Sciences (varies by post)
Preferred Qualification
NET qualification preferred for ANRF-PAT-II; hands-on lab experience in cell biology, biochemistry, or neuroscience techniques
