Kerala State Co-operative Service Examination Board (CSEB) has released Notification No. 17/2026 for Junior Clerk posts in Super Grade banks and co-operative societies. The recruitment is for direct appointment through the rank list prepared by the Examination Board. This is a good option for Kerala candidates who want clerical work in the co-operative banking sector and already have the required co-operative training qualification.

The vacancies are spread across 11 societies and banks in districts such as Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod. Who Can Apply?

Education

• Basic route: You must have passed SSLC or an equivalent exam and must have completed the Subordinate Personnel Co-operative Training Course, also known as Junior Diploma in Co-operation (JDC).
• Kasaragod option: For Kasaragod district societies and banks, GDC/DCM from Karnataka State Co-operative Federation or JDC from Kerala State Co-operative Union is accepted as equivalent.
• Degree option: You can also apply with B.Com with Co-operation, or any recognised degree plus HDC/HDC & BM/HDCM, or B.Sc Co-operation and Banking from Kerala Agricultural University.
• Cut-off rule: You must have the required qualification before the last date of application.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old and should not have completed 40 years as on 01 January 2026.
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit.
• Other Backward Classes / Ex-servicemen / EWS: 3 years relaxation.
• Persons with disabilities: 10 years relaxation if disability is 40% or more.
• Widows: 5 years relaxation.

Salary

• Pay scale for Junior Clerk is Rs. 18,300 to Rs. 46,830 per month.
• The selected person will also get allowances and service benefits as applicable in the concerned co-operative society or bank.
• The same salary scale is mentioned for all 37 Junior Clerk Super Grade vacancies in this notification.

Application Fee

• General and candidates claiming age relaxation: Rs. 150 for one society or bank, plus Rs. 50 for each additional society or bank.
• SC/ST: Rs. 50 for one society or bank, plus Rs. 50 for each additional society or bank.
• GST: 18% GST must be paid along with the examination fee as per the Government order mentioned in the notice.
• Payment mode: Pay the fee through the online application process on the CSEB portal.

Selection Process

CSEB will prepare the rank list through a written OMR exam and interview. You need to qualify through the Examination Board process and then attend the interview conducted by the concerned co-operative society or bank.

1. OMR Written Exam: The exam has 100 questions, and each question carries 1 mark.
2. Interview: The interview carries a maximum of 20 marks. Candidates who attend the interview get a minimum of 4 marks, and the remaining 16 marks are based on interview performance.
3. Rank List: CSEB prepares the rank list based on the written exam and interview process.
4. Appointment: The concerned co-operative society or bank is the appointing authority.

How to Apply

1. Go to the CSEB candidate portal at cseb.kerala.gov.in.
2. Complete One Time Registration if you have not registered earlier.
3. Log in to your candidate profile and choose the Junior Clerk Super Grade notification.
4. Select the society or bank vacancies you want to apply for and fill the online form carefully.
5. Pay the examination fee and 18% GST through the portal.
6. Submit the application before 30 June 2026.
7. Take a printout from My Application and keep it for future use. Applications sent by post will not be accepted.
