CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI) is hiring a Project Associate II for its human gut probiotics research in Mysuru, Karnataka. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial term: The appointment starts with a term of up to six months. It may continue up to March 2028 if needed, but ends earlier if the project closes.
• Project service cap: CSIR counts project service across its laboratories and institutes together. Your combined engagement cannot exceed six years, including time on the different kinds of projects covered by the notice.
• Extension is conditional: Continued engagement depends on available funds, your conduct and performance, the institute’s needs and the review committee’s recommendation. The term can be extended or shortened within the project’s duration.
• No permanent appointment claim: This project engagement does not give you a claim to a permanent CSIR or CFTRI post. It also does not, by itself, give you the right to register for a higher degree.
• Moving from another CSIR project: If you already work with CSIR or CFTRI, the notice requires clearance from your current principal investigator. Joining this project after selection also depends on completing the release formalities for the previous project.
• Travel expenses: You must meet your own travel and daily expenses for attending the interview. The institute will not reimburse these costs.
• Performance review: The institute will review your work periodically. It can end the engagement if performance is unsatisfactory, and the notice also reserves its right to terminate the engagement without assigning a reason.
• Funding and recruitment changes: The advertised position is provisional until project funds are confirmed. The Director may change the notice’s conditions, withdraw the advertisement or decide against filling the position.
