CDAC Guwahati Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is recruiting technical staff for its Centre in North East at Guwahati. These contractual assignments support projects in e-Governance, health informatics, human resources and financial management. You would join teams building and supporting software systems for these areas.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Manager, Software System Architect: the architecture role connects application design, infrastructure, integration and security.
• Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer, Full Stack Developer: these roles cover web applications, from the user interface to backend services and databases.
• Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer, Android Developer: these assignments focus on mobile applications and their connection to backend systems.
• Project Engineer, Network Security: this role supports enterprise networks and the controls that protect them.

Post-wise Duties

Project Manager

You will guide the overall system architecture, review technical designs and help teams turn business needs into secure solutions. The role also covers technical risks, system availability and support after deployment.

Full Stack Engineering Roles

You will build and maintain web interfaces, application services and databases. The work includes API integration, testing, debugging, deployment support and resolving production problems with other technical teams.

Android Engineering Roles

You will develop and support mobile applications, including secure interfaces and backend connections. You will also manage releases, improve performance and troubleshoot applications after they reach users.

Network Security Engineer

You will configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and wireless infrastructure. Your work also includes access controls, network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration backups and security improvements.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Engagement lasts up to one year or project completion, whichever comes first. An extension depends on performance, project needs and duration.
• Contract status: You do not gain a claim to a regular C-DAC appointment. C-DAC can terminate the contract with 45 days' notice or pay instead.
• Mobility: The advertised work location is Guwahati, but you may be assigned or transferred to another project location across India.
• Reservation: Government of India reservation rules apply to the advertised positions. The post numbers are indicative and may change.
• Internal applicants: If selected, existing C-DAC staff must resign from their current service and join the new post as fresh employees.
• Travel and interpretation: C-DAC does not pay travel or daily allowance for attending. If language versions differ, the English version governs.

Attend at C-DAC, 5th Floor, IIT Guwahati Research Park, Amingaon, Guwahati, Assam 781039. The notice gives interview hours of 2 pm to 6 pm, but separately says you must register between 10 am and 11 am.

Ask the recruitment team at hr-cine@cdac.in to clarify this timing difference before travelling. The process is a walk-in, and C-DAC says you do not need to post application printouts or other hard copies in advance.
