The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) under the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh has released Notification No. 07/2026 for 6 Professor posts at the newly established Government Medical College, Piduguralla in Palnadu District. The posts are across 6 specialties on contract basis for a minimum period of one year. This is a walk-in recruitment with no written exam — selection is based on document verification, teaching experience and publications.

• Orthopedics: 1 post (Open Category)
• ENT / Otorhinolaryngology: 1 post (Open Category)
• Ophthalmology: 1 post (Open Category)

• Radiodiagnosis: 1 post (Open Category)

In view of single post per department, Rule of Reservation (ROR) does not apply. Vacancies are tentative and may increase or decrease.

Who Can Apply?

• Academic Qualification: You must have MD / MS / DNB in the concerned specialty.
• Teaching Experience: A minimum of 8 years teaching experience including one year of Senior Residency, as per NMC norms.
• Publications: Minimum 4 publications required, along with BCBR and BCMET certificates.
• Registration: Outside-state candidates must register with the Andhra Pradesh State Medical Council within one week of selection.
• Local Preference: First preference is given to local candidates of Andhra Pradesh. If not available, candidates from other states will be considered.
• Candidates currently working as Professor on contract basis in any other Government Medical College of Andhra Pradesh are not eligible.

Age Limit

• The age of the applicant should be below 69 years as on the date of notification (06 May 2026).
• Retirees from Central / State Government / PSU from equivalent posts are eligible to apply and will be given first priority.

Salary

• Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 2,00,000 per month (all inclusive).
• Subject to deduction of tax at source and other statutory deductions.
• No DA, NPA, HRA or other allowances are payable in addition to the consolidated salary.
• Selected faculty are eligible for 15 days leave per calendar year on cumulative basis.

Application Fee

• OC: Rs. 2,000
• BC / SC / ST / EWS / Differently Abled: Rs. 1,800
• Payment shall be done in Online Mode only at the time of walk-in recruitment.
• Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on the following criteria:

1. Document Verification: Walk-in candidates submit their documents at the venue from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM on 14 May 2026.
2. Eligibility Marks: 50% of the total marks is the minimum criteria for selection.
3. Teaching Experience & Publications: Duration of teaching experience in the cadre of Professor and minimum 4 publications in that cadre will be considered.
4. DNB Candidates: Selected as per the latest existing NMC guidelines.

How to Apply

1. Reach the venue: Office of Director of Medical Education, Old Government Hospital, Hanumanpet, Vijayawada.
2. Attend the walk-in on 14 May 2026 between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM.
3. Carry filled application form, bio-data and originals plus photocopies of all certificates.
4. Pay the application fee online at the venue.
5. Submit certificates: SSC, Study/Bonafide certificate (Class 4 to 10), MBBS with MD/MS/DNB certificate and marks memo, AP Medical Council registration, Aadhaar card, experience certificates, copies of publications (minimum 4), BCBR and BCMET certificates.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in.

• Conduct ward rounds, surgeries, procedures and OPD as per the duty roster
• Mark attendance through NMC AEBAS system and maintain college timings (9 AM to 4 PM)
• Participate in academic activities, examinations and curriculum development
• Publish research papers and contribute to medical literature in the specialty
