Andaman and Nicobar Administration CML Exam Recruitment 2026 - 1535 Posts

Andaman and Nicobar Administration has released Advertisement No. 01/ML/2026 for Group C Non-Ministerial and Group B(NG) posts in many departments. This is a combined recruitment for posts such as Multi Tasking Staff, Janjati Sevak, Driver, Forest Guard, Surveyor, Draughtsman, Laboratory Attendant, Library Attendant, Electrician, Lineman, Fitter, Warder, Cook and other field/support posts. The selection starts with a Tablet Based Test, followed by post-wise qualifying tests and document verification where applicable.

The vacancies are tentative and may change as per the needs of departments. You can apply for one or more posts in order of preference, but you must satisfy the educational qualification, age and other post-wise conditions for each selected post.

Who Can Apply?

Basic Eligibility

• Nationality: You must be an Indian national.
• Qualification: This is a Matric Level recruitment, so the basic level is 10th class or equivalent, with post-wise extra requirements where prescribed.
• Post-wise rules: Some posts may need a driving licence, trade skill, technical qualification, physical standard, or other condition as per Annexure-I and the recruitment rules.

Reservation and Local Conditions

• Local ST: Only Local Scheduled Tribe candidates covered under the A&N Islands Scheduled Tribe Order are eligible for ST quota posts.
• Local OBC-NCL: OBC reservation applies to local OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates covered under the A&N Administration notifications mentioned in the notice.
• PwBD: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities can apply for posts identified as suitable for their disability category.
• Departmental candidates: Departmental candidates must also apply online and produce NOC during verification.

Age Limit

• Minimum age is 18 years.
• For Group B(NG), the age range is 18 to 30 years for male and female candidates.
• For Group C, the age range is 18 to 33 years for male candidates and 18 to 38 years for female candidates.
• Reference date: Age will be counted as on the closing date, 28 June 2026.
• Relaxation: ST gets 5 years, OBC gets 3 years, PwBD gets category-wise relaxation, Ex-Servicemen get military service deduction plus 3 years for Group C, and eligible Central Government civilian employees get relaxation as per the notice.

Salary

• The notified posts are in Pay Level 1 to Pay Level 5, depending on the post.
• Examples visible in the notice include Pay Level 1 for many MTS/support posts and Pay Level 2, Level 4 and Level 5 for driver, technical, survey and inspector-level posts.
• The notification gives post-wise pay levels; candidates should check the exact pay level for the post they select.

Selection Process

The recruitment process starts with an online Tablet Based Test. Post-wise physical, skill or trade tests will be qualifying where the recruitment rules require them.

1. Tablet Based Test (Tier-I): Objective online test at centres in South Andaman, North & Middle Andaman and Nicobar districts.
2. Post-wise Qualifying Test: Physical Standard Examination, Physical Measurement, Endurance Test, Skill Test or Trade Test may be held where applicable.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must upload and produce original certificates for verification.
4. Final Merit: Final selection will be based on TBT performance, post preference, category, and qualifying standards in the applicable Tier-II test.

3. Fill personal details, post preference, education details, experience details if any, payment details, and upload photograph and signature.
4. Upload photograph in 20 KB to 50 KB and signature in 10 KB to 20 KB as per the notice.
5. Pay the fee online if you are not exempted.
6. Submit the form before 28 June 2026 at 12:00 midnight.
7. Keep your registration number and password safe for admit card and future updates.
