AIIMS Delhi Gastroenterology Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is recruiting project staff for its Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition. The notice brings together medical research, non-medical research and data entry roles within the department. The work includes a multicentre study and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in endoscopy to help detect upper gastrointestinal cancers early.
Posts and Disciplines
- Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): This role leads research planning and coordinates clinical study work with investigators and site teams.

Post-wise Duties
Project Research Scientist-I (Medical)
You will develop research protocols and operational plans, coordinate daily work and help the team meet study objectives. The role includes preparing material for the Institutional Ethics Committee and Clinical Trials Registry–India, answering queries and tracking departures from the study plan.
You will also oversee informed consent and clinical research records. Training site staff and keeping investigators informed are part of making sure the study follows its approved protocol, Good Clinical Practice and Indian Council of Medical Research policies.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
You will help collect, clean and interpret clinical and endoscopy research data under the Principal Investigator. This includes documenting findings from AI-assisted endoscopy and coordinating with centres when information or responses are needed.
You will contribute to study reports, presentations and manuscripts, while keeping databases and regulatory records organised. Research meetings and training activities form part of the role, alongside tracking study progress.
Data Entry Operator
You will enter information into online databases such as REDCap and keep project records organised. The work also involves collecting and managing information before it is entered into the computer, so the research team can use its records effectively.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Medical scientist: MBBS, BVSc, BDS or equivalent. Non-medical scientist: postgraduate or integrated postgraduate degree in a relevant subject. Data Entry Operator: Intermediate/Class 12 with a computer diploma/course and 2 years of data entry experience.
Preferred Qualification
Data Entry Operator: computer programming certification and 1-2 years of experience in data entry, data cleaning and generating queries.

Up to 35 years
