AIIMS BBSR Guest Faculty and Counsellor Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS Bhubaneswar) is engaging Guest Faculty for its BSc Paramedical Course and Guest Counsellors in Psychology. The institute is a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, based at Sijua, Bhubaneswar. These guest engagements are contractual, with teaching and counselling needs handled separately under the same notice.

• English: Guest Faculty for the English component of the BSc Paramedical Course.
• Computer Science: Guest Faculty for a subject allocation that includes both theory and practical teaching.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial term: The engagement covers two years, described as two academic sessions. It does not give you a right to a regular appointment or continued service at the institute.
• Possible extension: AIIMS may extend the engagement for up to two further years. This depends on satisfactory performance, its requirements, available funds and terms agreed by both sides; extension is not automatic.
• Work allocation: The notice sets subject-wise teaching hours for each academic session. Counselling sessions depend on the institute’s needs, so the two kinds of engagement follow different workload arrangements.
• Conduct: You must follow the institute’s rules on conduct and discipline. Attempts to influence the recruitment can disqualify you.
• Serving employees: If you work in a government department, autonomous body, public sector undertaking or other government organisation, your application must go through the proper channel.
• Travel expenses: You must cover your travel and daily expenses for attending the recruitment process. The institute will not pay TA/DA.
• Changes and cancellation: AIIMS may amend or withdraw the advertisement, change the advertised positions or cancel them. The competent authority’s selection decision is final.
• Joining: If selected, you will receive 21 days to report at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court at Cuttack, Odisha.

The notice also advises sending a complete hard-copy application to The Registrar, Academic Section, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Post-Dumuduma, Bhubaneswar 751019, Odisha within the stipulated time. Use the application proforma attached to the advertisement; incomplete applications will be rejected.
